RockerMike and Rob Presents: Chris Riza from VELVET ATTACK VELVET ATTACK are a 60's based indie-rock-group from Dortmund, Germany formed in November 2018 to play 60is oriented songs boosted by prog/kraut educated guitar attacks. The five boys have been part of different musical projects (Jelly Planet, Damo Suzuki Band, Astra Kid, Pelecaster, The Cheeks), which is reflected in their multi-layered, refined sound. (She's A) Human Doll was their very first release, an incredible vinyl 7”. The melodic title song is an absolutely infectious, catchy tune with a strong beat and rocking guitar that displays singer Kono's cool vocals, emphasized by lots of background vocals. The b-side Dr. Jesus Gonzalez sounds as exciting - beautiful, psychedelic guitars and dreamy vocal harmonies mark a brilliant flipside to the hit-like title song. November 2022 saw the release of their first longplayer VISIONS FROM INNER SPACE. More 12-string guitars, more psychedelia and fuzz, a lot more vocal harmonies and a cool mix of folkrock, psychedelia and garage transferred to “now” by producer ALASKA WINTER / POP UND DIE WELT make this a great and authentic LP catching the true spirit of the 60s.
