In this week's edition of Ghana in Focus we analyse the President of Ghana's address to the nation. In this address he looked at two specific issues namely COVID 19 and the deal with the IMF.
We state that as a result of this address ALL of the remaining COVID 19 restrictions that had been put in place particularly for arrivals at the airport have been removed.
For example IT IS NOT mandatory to be vaccinated to come to Ghana, two that one does not need to complete a health declaration form before coming to Ghana and three that testing at the airport on arrival has been cancelled with immediate effect.
Next we analyse the comments made about the recent IMF deal securing US$3 Billion.

We pour scorn that the COVID 19 pandemic was the sole reason to justify Ghana going to the Bretton-Woods institution.
We identify some of the consequences which the president did not mention in his address that will affect the vast majority of Ghanaian citizens.
We also touch on some of the machinations of Ghana defaulting to its biggest creditor, China,
We advise that the IMF deal/bailout is NOT the answer to Ghana's economic woes and that the country needs a RESET in its economic strategy to deliver a true economic renaissance that will benefit EVERY Ghanaian.
