The political landscape is shifting all over the globe. Marine Le Pen lost the past French election to Emmanuel Macron. South Korea elected a Democratic president for the first time in a decade - his main issues deal with mending tensions with North Korea. It will be interesting to see if he helps or hurts the U.S.'s relationship with North Korea. Meanwhile, the U.S. has angered Turkey by choosing to support the Kurds. We believe them to be "moderate" rebels. Turkey labels them as terrorists.Trump is about to hand over power to act in Afghanistan to the Pentagon, so don't be surprised if we are there for 16 more years. The homo naledi is thought to have survived 2 million years prior to when they lived alongside modern(ish) humans some 200,000 years ago.Last, I go into the moral case for capitalism involving Wendy's, Twitter, and some random kid. I discuss how capitalism (and property rights) tend to be positive externalities while socialist (or statist) policies usually encourage negative externalities.
