Today, Skip and I talk about transpersonal psychology, counseling, combat vets, ptsd, psychedelic assisted psychotherapy, ketamine, LSD, MDMA, mushrooms; NOSC non-ordinary states of consciousness, hypnotherapy; Emotions: excitement, drive, exhaustion, overwhelm, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR, worry, motivation, love, compassion, and Radical Emotional Acceptance.

Skip Goddard:

I graduated from Boise State in 2003 with a B.S., in Psychology. After working in the field as a community-based rehabilitative worker for a number of years, I was accepted at Naropa University in 2006 and graduated with an M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology in 2009. While there, I started working with Trauma as a focus as a graduate intern with the Boulder Vet Center. Upon returning to Boise in 2009, I returned to work as a community-based worker where I worked in the community with people suffering from severe and persistent mental health conditions. I would eventually attain my LPC in 2010. I would continue working with the same population for eight years. During this time, I also dabbled in substance abuse treatment, running groups and I also worked as a Hospice Spiritual Care provider. I also gained clinical experience in working with a local ketamine clinic around the time that ketamine was first being used as a psychiatric option for mental health conditions. I would eventually be hired as the director of the Western Idaho Community Crisis Center, where I would assist them to develop the center, treating acute mental health and substance use crises. I stayed with the Center through their opening as well as through the 2020 pandemic. Eventually, I was happy to again cross paths with you starting in early 2021.

Hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, arts, consciousness, and cultivating cacti.
