Mary Cecchini is currently based in Portland, Oregon and hosts both international and domestic trips for groups of women of all ages. Mary was burned out in her corporate career and when her mother got sick, she had a real wake up call. She knew that no one was really going to care if she nailed that presentation today if she woke up dead tomorrow. There had to be more to life than this, and there was. When she started traveling solo, it led her down a path of self-discovery and even a new business venture! Her biggest ‘ah-ha’ moment while traveling solo is that there are so many non-traditional jobs out there and different ways to experience and live life. There is no such thing as the ‘wrong way’ of doing things.

Key Takeaways:

*Through Mary’s business, she hosts small groups of women on trips located all over the world.

*What inspired Mary to get started in this work?

*What were some of Mary’s biggest discoveries and ‘ah-ha’ moments when she traveled solo?

*What would happen if tomorrow was your last day?

*During Mary’s travels, she met a lot of people who had non-traditional jobs and this inspired her to find other options for more fulfilling work.

*We each have our own journeys to go on. Not everyone discovers this lifestyle on the same timeline.

*You have to want this business or the new airline ticket more than you want that new pair of sunglasses or those daily coffees.

*There are different ways to live your life!

*What is Mary’s definition of solo travel?

*What has Mary noticed about the women who go on these group trips with her?

*How does Mary structure her trips?

*Do women end up branching out on their own after going on one of Mary’s trips?
