It’s not every day that we review French themed movies here on GMGB. So when we do, we like to make sure it has all of those juicy taboo themes that just don’t get dealt with in Hollywood. This week’s movie, The Dreamers, is a quasi-French movie, set in late 60’s Paris chronicling the relationship a young American student has with a rather close brother and sister pair he meets at a demonstration. Set against the background of the student riots of the time, most of the film is dedicated to talking about films, art and getting Eva Green’s boobs out. Throw in some incestuous overtones, awkward sex scenes and a dash of blood into the mix and you have this week’s Quietly Awesome film.
