One of the best parts of GWIC is that we get the opportunity to speak with some of the trailblazers in our field. In the next two episodes, Lisa talks with Pat Harned, the CEO of the Ethics and Compliance Initiative (ECI). Today, Lisa gets to learn about Pat's background, what led her to working at ECI and how the organization evolved before and during her leadership. This first episode also discusses what ECI does, including the recent ECI IMPACT 2021 conference which was at the end of April. The keynotes and discussions included speakers from outside the E&C function, providing a different perspective in areas like corporate culture. Corporate culture is also a significant part of the Global Business Ethics Survey Trends Report, what was also released this year. Pat highlights some of the key findings, and a few surprises they saw along the way, and how we can take a critical look at our function to work towards a more diverse profession as a whole.
