Marketing.
We are all subject to the iron grip of marketing.

From the moment you wake up, as you move through your day… it’s everywhere. Where ever you are right now… this very moment… just take a quick look around. How many “brands” or “icons” do you see, or can you hear. Millions of advertisements screaming for our attention. And then if you pay attention a little longer, you’ll notice millions of brands marketing with a quiet/subtle/stealthy marketing that prefers conversation over sales pitches. All of it, breaks down to marketing that wants our capital (time/treasures).

So if you’re a marketing genius please leave a message after this message saying where I got it wrong or where I got it right. For everyone else, let’s do marketing 101. Google the 4 P’s of marketing and you’ll find (it’s really like 7 P’s…) but for the sake of today we will talk about 4.

4 P’s of marketing (Product, Price, Place, Promotion)
Product: That thing you’re offering.
Price: How much is that thing.
Place: Where or who are you offering it
Promotion: Why should I buy this now… can’t say “no” proposition.

Here are 4 questions to parallel these marketing principles to our lives:

Product: What are you offering? What is your product. Hone it in. Summarize it.

Price: How much is that thing you’re offering (even if it’s your time… worth what?)

Place: Where can we see your thing on display?

Promotion: Why is what you’re doing so good, so compelling that you keep doing it and others want it?
