Menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) is crucial but often overlooked during emergencies like natural disasters and humanitarian crises. Menstruating individuals struggle with accessing menstrual products, clean water, and adequate sanitation facilities, while also facing cultural stigma and limited education. Effective MHH practices in emergencies include integrating it into planning, providing menstrual products, improving WASH facilities, and conducting educational campaigns to reduce stigma. Therefore, this episode of Gulabi Sambad highlights particular challenges that may arise if menstruation begins during emergencies or crises. Joining the conversation, we have Nirajan Khadka, SRHR–Technical Advisor, and Shreejana Bajracharya, Campaign Specialist and SRHR Expert at Plan International Nepal, an organization championing child rights and gender equality. #menstruation #emergencies #crisis #menstrualmanagement #menstrualhygiene #MHHPodcast #YouthAdvocacy #GenderEquality #srhr #podcast #gulabisambad --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/gulabi-sambad-teen-talk/support
