On this episode Cheryl tells us her remarkable story of her cardiac event in September of 2020.

After lying unconscious for nearly 15 minutes Cheryl was transported to the hospital during which time her heart was restarted, and her medical team made the decision to cool her body to preserve brain function and to put Cheryl in a medically induced coma and implant an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator. Courtney explains that cardiac arrest is typically caused by a blockage in an artery, but Cheryl experienced a life-threatening heart rhythm brought on by a sudden electrical malfunction in her heart. Cheryl shares more about how this cardiac event has changed her life.
