A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. nd I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36: 26-27 The Holy Spirit points us to following Torah. What is the difference between the original covenant given at Mt Sinai and the renewed covenant? The original covenant the Torah was written upon stony hearts. The renewed covenant the Torah is written upon hearts of flesh. Eddie then walks us through the parable of the sower and compares this parable to how the covenant/Torah at Mt Sinai was initially received but then later, when affliction and trouble came, there was murmuring in the camp. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution arises for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. Mark 4: 16-17 A heart of flesh loves the Torah and seeks to follow the Torah. A heart of flesh has the indwelling Holy Spirit. A heart of flesh can OVERCOME the trials and afflictions.
