The Ten commandments teach us to love God with all our heart and to love our neighbor as ourself. To love God with all our heart means that we follow the statutes or the choqim. To love our neighbor as ourself means that we follow the judgments or the mishpatim. So to summarize: The Torah = statutes + judgments The wages of sin is death. Yeshua is our righteousness. We cannot trust in our own righteousness. If we repent of our sins we can be forgiven: For he has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 The lawgiver (chaqaq) gives decrees (choqim) The greatest commandment from the lawgiver is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. The second greatest commandment is to love our neighbor as ourself. Are these teachings a blessing to you?
