In this episode, David shares why he switched back to OS X after his brief, but astonishingly painful Windows excursion. The main topic is how experienced (or even new) designers can avoid stagnation and continue to challenge themselves to get better.

Back in Episode 18: Sudden Air Beef, we discussed how one improves as a designer and we focused more on the idea of improving with skill in using your tools. How do you get better at Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. We’ve also talked about how one can go from drawing in black and white to painting or drawing in color. But frankly, color can be intimidating if all you know is pencil and charcoal. In this episode, we’re talking about how to push yourself to try new things, learn new skills, create better designs, and we’ll include some special tips on watercolor for people looking to get started there.*

*No advice on watercolor is given in this episode.
