Dive deep as we talk about the soul of food, world travels, growing + healing against all odds of fear + denial, and more with Larissa Da Costa. Larissa is a chef, world traveler, and enthusiastic food researcher. Her journey began growing up in the Amazon by her grandmother’s side (living in a hut, in a small village, without electricity - badass!), has been refined in Europe and Asia, and now flourishes in Southern California. Larissa has traveled the world both as a private chef and as a stagiaire, working in renowned kitchens like Copenhagen’s Relæ (World's 50 Best Restaurants) and Ubud, Bali’s Locavore (Asia's 50 Best Restaurants). Larissa’s interest in sustainability and the social responsibility of producing food has led her from the fast-paced kitchens of Europe to the quiet reverence of Zen monasteries, with many adventures in between. Now she’s writing a new chapter as a private chef coping with a chronic illness, a journey she uses to inspire + empower others to grow + heal in the greatest ways possible. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/herascensionstory/support
