If the Divine mother is the source and the creator of all things, then the Divine father, the Universal Father is the wisdom that recognizes her. The Divine father is the Masculine presence that understands that everything is born through the Divine Mother. Many of us have been raised to view the masculine through the patriarchal figures that have pervaded our society. We have received many messages from them, some of them empowering and the majority consciously or unconsciously limiting. Most of us have not had the good fortune to be raised by an enlightened man, let's face it there's only a handful that grace the planet, and few of us have been blessed with a highly conscious father ( although that's changing too) . The vast majority of us, especially those aged over 30 right now, have been raised by the wounded masculine and/or subjected to the straight white straight man phenomena that is only recently beginning to be dispelled. The effect of these father wounds generate deep emotional pain and manifest as low self self esteem and an inner dialogue that reminds us that we are not loveable and that we are not worthy. They leave a deep impression on women and ignite a need for validation that sets us up for failure. They lead us to identify with “doing “ rather than “being” and set us up for a cycle of justifying our worth through our actions. On the deepest levels they play out in our lives as unshakable feelings of being lost or without purpose, compelling us to believe that the “next thing” is going to make us happy This episodes looks at Identifying, acknowledging, healing and welcoming the Divine Father and the Divine Masculine in our lives and in ourselves read more about this and much more in my book Her Great rebellion - Overcoming the fear of being yourself by remembering who you really are - www.samanthagoldsmith.com
