I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr. Andrew McLean recently on Hope for Healthcare! Dr. McLean is Clinical Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, and Associate Dean for Wellness at UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He has lectured internationally on pertinent behavioral and public health issues. Dr. McLean has an interest in collaborative models of care, as well as individual and community resilience. During our podcast, Dr. McLean highlights his top priorities as Associate Dean in promoting Well-Being for his health science students, medical residents and faculty. We delve into Well-Being from a trainee standpoint, and how they are addressing medical and health science student wellness, resilience and stress management, as well as educating faculty on these important areas. What I love about our discussion is how Dr. McLean identifies the importance of helping our future healthcare professionals to build both personal and professional resilience along with leadership development! Please tune in to listen to this fascinating topic!!
