Hospice Quinte: Changing Lives Podcast

Canada’s third National Bereavement Day will be celebrated by individuals across the country on November 19th, 2019. The Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association, the leading national voice for hospice palliative care in Canada, were the advocates behind the creation of National Bereavement Day. The CHPCA strongly believes that it is essential for Canadians to understand that grief and bereavement support is available for individuals who are grieving before, during, and after the course of a loved one’s end-of-life journey, and Hospice Quinte couldn’t agree more. About Hospice Quinte
Hospice Quinte assists terminally ill individuals and their caregivers by offering them support and companionship. Visiting hospice services are offered in the person’s own home, long term care homes, retirement homes and both Belleville General and Trenton Memorial Hospitals. This care is provided by trained, experienced, and compassionate volunteers. Bereavement support groups are also offered. There are no fees for services to patients and their families. Hospice Quinte is a registered, non-profit charity whose volunteers are the heart of the organization.
