You may have noticed in the media lately that there is a lot of unionization, as well as threats to unionize and even regulation that is being forced upon businesses. Starbucks and Amazon are two companies in the headlines recently for employee unionization in response to what they perceive as unfair working conditions.

In 2022, more than 16 million workers in the United States were represented by a union—an increase of 200,000 from 2021 (according to the Economic Policy Institute)

Why is this massive increase happening? Well, it really comes back around to the things we talk about all the time, which is the People Revolution, and that people are no longer going to tolerate working for companies that do not treat them well. If they feel trapped in a job, it's going to force them to actually try to do what they can to make the conditions better. Oftentimes when companies are unionizing or threatening unionization, it's because of these reasons.

In this episode, you will be able to:

  • understand the impact of unionization and labor dynamics on business success.
  • recognize the consequences of unfair treatment of workers in the workplace.
  • discover the importance of addressing short notice scheduling for a better work-life balance.
  • learn how inadequate compensation and stressful conditions affect employee satisfaction.

Tune in to learn more about the 2024 Union Boon and what you can do to ensure your employees are happy.
