Our guest today, Nakia Whittaker-Woody, is joining us on the podcast for the second time. Nakia has been able to work remotely with female social entrepreneurs, coaches, and small business owners over the past five years by partnering with them to expand their businesses. She aims to bring the Women of Color community together to create stronger impact and outcomes, leveraging our collective abilities and resources to address common goals. Nakia is committed to helping foster a whole entrepreneur (mentally, physically, legally, and financially). Today Nakia is brave enough to share about the tragic and unexpected loss of her daughter in 2021 and how she has allowed herself the grace to move through her grief in her own way while still serving her clients and acting as a mentor to over 700 Women of Color Aspiring Entrepreneurs.

We talk about:

  • Coping with the aftermath of a traumatic loss
  • What dealing with grief looks like for her
  • How she navigated her business at the time
