Starting Strong Illinois invites you to the fifth in a series of webinars on the Affordable Care Act (ACA). This webinar will provide information about Medicaid reforms presently in effect in Illinois, and how further implementation of the ACA will impact Medicaid. Illinois legislators approved legislation that made drastic cuts to Medicaid programs and services, with many of these changes effective July 1, 2012. Learning Objectives: - Receive updates on which Medicaid cuts have been implemented, which are still to come, and how you can assist patients who have lost coverage; - Understand how the ACA will improve Medicaid coverage and services; - Find out about pending Illinois policy decisions related to ACA implementation and what you can do to ensure that Medicaid is preserved and made available to all eligible people.
