In this podcast, DJ invited resilience tutor Lynne Kendall on the show to discuss helping children understand themselves, their emotions, thinking, and energy to handle life's challenges. Listen in as Lynne introduces the PACE framework (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Engaging) for effective family communication, emphasizing shifting focus from feelings to thinking for highly emotional children. And stay tuned as she underscores the role of the nervous system in regulating emotions and energy, advocating language that promotes a thinking space and energy level management to empower children in becoming self-aware and resilient.
The Resilience Tutor program was created by Lynne Kendall, a teacher with qualifications in both education and psychology as well as twenty years’ experience working in the field. Lynne has developed a comprehensive suite of learning resources to support teachers, families and young people on their path to resilience. Lynne is constantly inspired by the concept that young people can learn to be their own teachers through self-mastery and by developing a love of learning. It was this vision that led to the development of a resilience teaching framework and a suite of complementary books and journals. Together, these elements personalize the education process and support young people on their journey to greater resilience.
