Welcome back to Episode 40 of the In Seezyn Podcast, we really enjoyed talking with Conner Barker this week, Conner is the Southeastern States Coordination for the Congressional Sportsman Foundation, otherwise known as the CSF. We dive deep into hunting advocacy, legislative issues that impact the rights of hunter and anglers across the country. Everything from fighting against bills that are proposed by antihunters, sandhill crane hunting in TN, ballet initiatives in Colorado that could ban trophy hunting, which could stop all big game hunting in Colorado, a ballet initiative in Oregon to potential prohibit the taking of all animals, this would make it illegal to hunt any species in the entire state, as well as initiatives pushing for hunters education in public schools across the country. Connor is a wealth of information, and it was really interesting to better understand how we can protect the rights that we have as hunters across the country and impact sporting conservation policy. The CSF has a weekly newsletter that can keep you informed about issues in your state, region or across the country, I encourage everyone to sign up for that to stay informed and prevent you from finding these things out after it's too late.
