Dashae and Tyana Whitney, Sisters, Young Authors, and Role Models

DaShae Whitney and Tyana Lashae Whitney, the daughters of Rev. Whitney & Mrs. Shannon Whitney, are young authors, following in their parents' footsteps. They are the authors of 2 books: * Be Encouraged is an inspirational book skillfully written from a youthful perspective. These young authors utilize poems, songs, and short stories that say to the reader, "Be Encouraged because God loves you!" * My Burns Are Beautiful is a compilation of poems depicting an extraordinary young woman's triumph over a life-crushing trauma and learning to process the event that could have shattered her life. Dashae's poems depict a profound resilience of wounds healed by faith in God's goodness, care, and love. Dashae, a Survivor, was in an accident at the age of 3. She mistakenly fell into her hot water bathtub. With 2nd & 3rd degree burns over 80% of her body, she spent 45 days in The Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles, California. She was given a 50/50 chance to survive medically speaking, but GOD said differently! At the age of 9, Dashae was selected to ring the New York Stock Exchange Closing Bell (December 1, 2005). Tyana, a senior in high school who co-authored Be Encouraged with her sister, Dashae, is also a YouTuber at j.mp/2wB7VvU and a blogger at https://TyanaLashae.wordpress.com.
