The ladies emerge from holiday hiding to record their second podcast!

Breaks are good, but getting back in the box is even better. Especially when the audio quality in this episode has been vastly improved.

Peek-A-Boo Rabbit

In this episode of In The Box, Rabbit and Rita give their stamp of approval on more of their favorite roller derby gear, including Muzzle, malleable leather toe guards and a skater owned, skater operated business run by Tamara Hurtsworse, co-founder of the Skee Town Skirtz.

The girls chat about balancing roller derby and personal life, participating in the Roller Derby Workout Challenge, joining a new gym, evil lawn gnomes, Rita’s “Bieber bangs”, returning to the track after a long break, Christmas gifts, learning from big losses and discovering that even the best of teams can be on the receiving end of a blow out.

The ladies in the box also talk about some upcoming roller derby events, fundraisers and bouts in Michigan. To make scheduling your roller derby fun easier, we (and by we, I mean, Mariah Scurry) organized them into an easy to read list. See our Michigan Leagues page for links to the league Web sites.
