Marcia Clark, best known as the lead prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson trial, has become a trailblazer for women in law and beyond. Her journey from courtroom to bestselling author reflects her resilience and determination to redefine herself amidst intense public scrutiny. On this episode of Worth Knowing, Clark dives into her latest book, *Trial by Ambush*, which examines the 1953 Barbara Graham case—a story that highlights gender bias, media sensationalism, and the notion that all cases are subject to societal, cultural, and political winds. Clark shares how her experiences during the Simpson trial shaped her perspective on societal pressures and the role of women in high-stakes professions. Her reflections on how media, forensic science, and legal practices have evolved over decades offer valuable insights into the intersection of law and culture. This conversation is a compelling exploration of true crime, personal growth, and how Clark’s groundbreaking career continues to inspire a new generation of women to challenge norms and forge their own paths. Marcia Clark is a bestselling author and a criminal lawyer who began her career in law as a criminal defense attorney and went on to become a prosecutor in the L.A. District Attorney's Office in 1981. She spent ten years in the Special Trials Unit, where she handled a number of high-profile cases, including the prosecution of stalker/murderer Robert Bardo, whose conviction for the murder of actress Rebecca Schaeffer resulted in legislation that offered victims better protection from stalkers as well as increased punishment for the offenders. She was lead prosecutor for the O.J. Simpson murder trial. In May of 1997 her book on the Simpson case, "Without a Doubt," was published and reached #1 on the New York Times, Wall St. Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and Publishers Weekly bestsellers lists. In February 2016, Clark re-released the book with a new foreword. The poison of antisemitism continues to infect college campuses and Jewish student across the country continue to be harassed and attacked. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke the leader of a well know Christian university on the unique way his school has opened its doors to Jewish students and in process demonstrate the love Jesus to them. He shared what Prime Minister Netanyahu said about the schools’ efforts and what believers should be doing to combat antisemitism where they are. Is it possible to resurrect an extinct species of animal? That what’s some scientists are claiming they have done with a extinct variety of wolf. But we spoke with a believer and biochemist who challenged the common narrative that is being touted across the media outlets. He explained what is really going on and why there needs to be ethical boundaries for this type of science. Chinese oppression of believers is well documented but in the midst of these very difficult times, believers are still standing firm for their faith. Our guest shared the powerful stories of Chinese believers who continued to practice their faith under the constant attack of the Communist regime. How do you navigate the challenges of living with and loving someone who struggles with a mental illness? Our guest has walked that road and she shared her insights on the journey and opened our eyes to God’s heart of love for those who struggle with these challenges. It is time to wind down another week of conversation with a detailed examination of the headlines of the week through the unbiased, unfiltered lens of scripture. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the story of a man who since the day of his salvation has been passionate about sharing the hope of the Gospel with any and everyone he can. He explained his passion for evangelism, developing a heart for the lost and why prayer and dependance upon the guidance of the Holy Spirit is crucial to opening the door to share God’s message of eternal hope. Over the last few years traditional family values and the quality of our military have been sorely under attack. And even though we are beginning to see some significant changes they are not coming without challenge. Janet’s daughter who is on the front lines of these important issues explained what the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on transgenders in the military will be for our forces going forward and whether or not the U.S. Department of Education will really close as the President has promised. Our guest turned the lives of 5 ordinary people who walked faithfully with God throughout the ups and downs of their lives, as a teaching template to help us understand what it means live out the Christian faith even when the road before you is uncertain, the journey seems too hard or God’s hand is not immediately evident. Using stories from the lives of these five people, including a civil rights pioneer, a respected theologian and a beloved children’s television personality, our guest teaches us what daily dependance and obedience really look like in the life of the believer. Despite all the negative press, attacks from inside and outside its borders and vitriolic rhetoric and hate around the world, the nation of Israel and its people have an eternal destiny determined by God that nothing and no one can change. We turned to a respected teacher of Jewish history for a better understanding of why this land and her people are so important to God’s prophetic design and why the Church must continue to stand against the ongoing hatred of His chosen people. It’s time once again to put the news of the week on trial and measure it against the unvarnished truth of God’s word.
