Thriving vs surviving - our goal is to encourage you to thrive, to provide advice that will encourage you to create a preparedness plan that facilitates thriving in an emergency, vice surviving. Thriving is achieved when you are capable of conducting your full suit of normal activities despite the incident, your personal and professional life remains unaffected by the event and you are capable of continuing to rock an incredible life.
The current suite of professional preparedness communications trains everyone to be a victim, to survive through an event. Statistically, if you are not grievously physically harmed as a result of the event, you will survive.
In this episode we discuss the two main weather related threats - thermoregulation of core body temperature and caloric / hydration deficit. As well, we discuss war gaming strategies for navigating known hazards where you live.
