In this episode of Inside the Headset, we talk to two coaches with a combined 3 years of coaching experience. True, it's not a lot compared to previous guests, but undoubtedly a unique perspective from two coaches at the beginning of their careers.

The first segment features Dan Casey (@CoachDanCasey), a first year coach and head coach of St. David’s School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Casey is a former letterwinner at Davidson College and a 2013 member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. He discussed what he’s learned in his first year as a coach, how he’s imparted knowledge to his players, and the importance of having a mentor.

Matt Goggans (@CoachMGoggans) is in his 2nd year of coaching and 1st year as Quarterbacks coach at Western New Mexico University. Goggans detailed how he gets the most out of his players despite having a 1-2 yr age difference, how he’s developed a coaching philosophy, and the impact the AFCA Convention has had on his career.
