How do you want to live your life? What is the experience of you that you would like to give others? How can you switch from being reactive to a more centered approach to leading? Originating in ancient practices and common to all faiths and wisdom traditions extending back thousands of years, meditation is a personal practice that can be practiced communally in the universal language of silence. The last ten years have seen a surge in research about the beneficial effects of meditation. This research has led to a new focus – meditation integration. Here at Georgetown, the John Main Center, which developed from a small meditation group on campus, has become a pioneering academic center for meditation and inter-religious dialogue.
