Well, guys- it happened. Char officially pissed off the wrong demon, and so the audio from our first recording of this episode was completely unusable. So this is take two, but don't worry- Ashley's already saged her space, and is mailing Char some to do the same. And we owe an incredible Thanks to Sean who sat in on the two recordings we lost to make sure our issues were resolved and we didn't need to record this a THIRD time.
Even though Spooky Season is officially over, and Ashley is counting down the days until it is socially acceptable to put up her Christmas Tree, we still have a good haunted story for you. Join us as we discuss the history of The Battle of Gettysburg and how it has led to numerous accounts of ghostly activity that locals and visitors to the area still report to this day. This week, we talk about several unsettling accounts, from apparitions of soldiers still walking the field of Devil's Den to the sounds of muskets and cannons still protecting their position in The Wheatfield nearly 200 years later and many spooky stories in between.
The Civil War was the deadliest war in American history, and The Battle of Gettysburg has the distinction of being the deadliest battle of America's deadliest war. With over 50,000 casualties in just three days, it's no wonder some of those souls are believed to still walk the earth.
So make yourself a beverage of your choice and hang out with us while we try to do this massive story justice; and please, for the love of whatever god or higher being/beings you believe in, try not to pull a Char and piss off some demons, yeah?
Stay spooky, stay safe, and sweet dreams!
