Welcome back to Season 6 of Intellicast! In this episode of Intellicast, Brian and Brian are joined by Dennis Devlin and Jeff Jones to discuss their new book, Three Wise Monkeys: How a Culture of Clarity Creates Transformative Success.

Before the guys jump into the interview, they talk about the Greenbook Future List that was released earlier that day. Producer Brian was named to the list! The guys also talk about the upcoming conferences as well.

Then we jump to the interview. The guys start by asking Dennis and Jeff about their careers and how they got into marketing and market research. Both Dennis and Jeff have interesting backgrounds that give them unique perspectives of research. They share these perspectives in their books which they started during the pandemic. (Hey, some of us got addicted to marble racing during that time and others wrote a book.)

In the second segment of the episode, Dennis and Jeff share their definition of the Clarity Cultural Cycle. Jeff has a great metaphor for this cycle and how it’s similar to a marriage. The foundation of this cycle is the importance of curiosity and insights to a successful business. This book is for marketers, researchers, business owners, and anyone who wants to understand the true value of insights.

To wrap up the episode, Jeff and Dennis share a real case study with Dollar Shave Club, the benefits DSC found when utilizing the Clarity Cultural Study, and how companies can go about starting this process. (Hint: it’s a cycle, so you can start anytime!)

If you’re anything like us, and want to get your hands on this book ASAP, you can find it here.
