Welcome back to Intellicast! Brian Lamar and Producer Brian are joined by COO, Beth Teehan to give an overview of their experience at the UGA MMR Future of Insights Summit Conference last week.

They discuss some of the aspects of this program and conference that make them so special including the strong network of alumni and the ability to watch graduates as they progress in their market research careers.

Brian and Beth give an overview of some of the presentations at the conference and the unique topics that speakers touched on as well as a panel discussion from leaders in the industry including Mary Drumond, Melanie Courtright, Dan Foreman, and Gregg Archibald.

After that, Brian discusses his presentation on the commoditization of sample. Brian Lamar is an MMR graduate and was able to speak at his alma mater along with several of his former classmates. His presentation walks through the history of sample and the differences between panels with examples from our research-on-research. He also shares his experience of bringing his dog, Bonnie the Bulldog, to the conference. Fun fact: UGA’s mascot is a bulldog!

Anyone in market research should attend this conference. It’s a unique conference in the industry and has a real “kumbaya” feel to it, as Beth would say.

Thanks for listening!
