We explore what it means to be a people pleaser, how to identify if you are one, and also tips on how you can step away from being one. By the term people pleasing, we refer to the strong urge of an individual to please others even at their own expense. We distinguish how this varies considerably from helping others and doing things for those you care about. People pleasing consists of people adjusting their personalities due to a fear of not being liked, being unable to say no, agreeing to help others even when they know they will not be able to, and many other things.
