Do you know what it's like to have a fellow Christian mama tell you that she's afraid for the future of her children solely because of the color of their skin and the current unrest in our country? Can you imagine if you lived every day with anxiety that one wrong move by your children could mean the end of their life? I'm so grateful to be able to talk with Natasha in this episode as she shares a raw and honest perspective on her life as a black woman in America. More than anything I hope you'll listen and that you'll really take inventory of what you're teaching your children and how you are interacting with your black community. I'm talking to you church. Jill asks a few times in this interview "Where does the change start?" I say it starts in our homes and in our churches as we show the world the way that Jesus would love and promote peace without abandon. Posted below are links to the 'I am Second' videos that Jill mentions. Listening back through this episode gave me chills and made my heart ache for the state of this nation. I hope you'll listen with an open mind and practice even more love, peace, understanding, and empathy after listening. https://www.iamsecond.com/seconds/an-innocent-man-a-crooked-cop/ https://www.iamsecond.com/seconds/unlikely-friends/
