For some reason I continually underestimate these movies that were made before I was born. Judging from the DVD cover (thank you, Spout Springs Library) I figured I was in for more Roy Rodgers than Sam Peckinpah, but once again it gets demonstrated to me how a 60 year old movie can still be relevant. This week we discuss the 1953 George Stevens film, lizard brains, manliness, film violence, and Collin's extreme dislike of Joey. Roger Ebert's review of Shane The Ringer: Shane is basically Logan Without the Claws
