Jane Wilkens Michael Better Than Before

A conversation with Whiskey Cavalier’s Scott Foley - Whiskey Cavalier, which premiered right after the Oscars on ABC TV, is already one of the most buzzed about new shows this season. In it, Scott Foley, formerly a star of such hit dramas as Scandal and Felicity, plays Will Chase, an FBI agent who is redefining the role of an action hero. Indeed, this tough supercop is both empathetic and emotionally aware. Yet while critically acclaimed for his television, film and Broadway acting, what many of his fans may not know about Scott is that one of his most important roles happened off-screen and at an early age, when he acted as a secondary caregiver to his mother during her time with recurrent ovarian cancer, sadly losing her when he was fifteen. It is the reason he has now partnered with TESARO, an oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company, in getting the word out about Not on My Watch, an important nationwide movement that seeks to inform and empower women with ovarian cancer and their care partners to take proactive steps in managing the disease. In this segment, Jane and Scott talk about his new show which he helped create, his family, and his not-to-be-missed lifestyle advice and fitness secrets -- after all, at age 46, he still does many of his own stunts in the show! He also discusses the educational Public Service Announcement he made with TESARO that reveals, for the first time, his very personal story.
