Today, I'm getting real and raw about my journey – the ups, the downs, and everything in between. Growing up bisexual wasn't easy, especially in a world that often made me feel like I didn't belong. And the challenges didn't stop there. Losing my dad at just 7 years old rocked my world in ways I couldn't even begin to understand at the time. It left me feeling lost and alone, searching for something – anything – to fill the void. That something turned out to be alcohol, and before I knew it, I was spiraling down a path of addiction and self-destruction. Being homeless was a wake-up call, but the racial abuse and bullying I faced only made things worse. It felt like the world was against me, like I was fighting an uphill battle with no end in sight. And growing up in a Muslim household added another layer of complexity to my struggle, as I grappled with my identity and where I fit in. But the real turning point came when I found myself staring down the barrel of a police taser, facing the consequences of my actions. Getting arrested for drink driving – not once, but twice – was a wake-up call I couldn't ignore. And when the bailiffs showed up at my door, it felt like rock bottom. I won't lie – there were moments when I didn't think I'd make it through. Moments when I felt like giving up entirely. But somehow, someway, I found the strength to keep going. With the love and support of my friends and family, I turned my life around. It wasn't easy, and the road to redemption was anything but smooth. But here I am, standing tall and proud, sharing my story with all of you. Because if I can make it through the darkness and find my light, then so can you. —————————————————————————————————— We hope you enjoy and do not forget to like and subscribe. https://linktr.ee/cassimkaweesa Go get your Cassimotive Hoodie at : https://teespring.com/stores/cassimotive Get in touch with me via: Website: www.cassimkaweesa.com Instagram: cassimkaweesaofficial Twitter: Cassim Kaweesa
