The Harm Reduction Mini Film Festival at AIDS 2014 aims to reduce stigma and increase awareness and HIV testing for people who use drugs.

The selection of short films curated by the Australian-based Burnet Institute highlights the importance of breaking down barriers affecting people who use drugs, and challenging preconceived judgements around drug use and HIV.

Brendan Bale spoke to Peter Higgs and Shelley Cogger from the not-for-profit organisation about their short film festival and the constant work that goes into improving the health of disadvantaged, poor and vulnerable communities.
