Damian was one of the most respected Horsemen in Australia, riding some of the best horses in Australia and the world.
Starting in Christchurch as a trots trainer/driver, Damian after being a fast learner moved to a Gallops Trackwork rider and then into the races.
Moving previously to Melbourne from NZ, Damian for a second time with his wife Kim moved to the Qld and didn't return.
Working at Glenlogan Park he soon realised he needed to move to the Sunshine Coast to pursue constant rides.
Riding over 1200 winners in Australia including group 1's internationally.
Weight and the burden of fasting bought about his eventual retirement.
