Welcome to this week's episode of Just Havin a Crack. Today's guest Toutai Kefu was a hard uncompromising player at number 8 in the halcyon days of Australian Rugby.
Our last Bledisloe series victory over the All Blacks, 2 World Cup victories (Kefu played just one due to injury) series-winning victory over the British and Irish Lions.
But who would have thought his greatest challenge would be protecting his family from a random break and enter by youths.
His family and himself sustained lacerations of varying degrees, hospitalising his wife, son and himself. The family still bear the scars of that night, but they are doing ok.
Protecting his family whilst battling with the thought and values of what he was raised with. He didn't want to harm the perpetrators as they were just kids.
