Dalam waktu dekat Pemerintah berencana mengambil kebijakan pahit untuk rakyat. Dalam pidatonya Presiden RI Joko Widodo mengisyaratkan akan menaiklan kembali harga sejumlah BBM, termasuk Pertalite. Padalah belum lama Pemerintah menaikkan harga sejumlah BBM, seperti Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo dan Solar Dex. Pemerintah beralasan subsidi BBM sebesar Rp 502 Triliun sudah membebani APBN.
