Welcome back to News of the Month, where I talk about a few different entertainment news stories that feel important and/or interesting to me. The nominations for this year’s Academy Awards were announced on January 24th. I'm here to discuss the nominees in each of the top eight above the line categories. What I’ll be doing is go through them one by one, reading out loud all the nominees, give my thoughts, and share some interesting insights about them. From screenplay, to acting, to directing, to the biggest one of all, Best Picture. I also acknowledge the passings of Frank Galati, Melinda Dillon, Lisa Marie Presley, Cindy Williams, and Lisa Loring.
