Aiesha Robinson speaks with Frank and Mike on this weeks episode. Aiesha is a model, motivational speaker, and the creator of Born to Rise. She recounts her childhood experiences of being bullied, becoming a bully, and ultimately feeling empathy for those she was harming. When Aisha discovered she had vitiligo, her life changed forever. She details some of the moments in her life were vitiligo made her feel like an outsider, made her feel ugly, made her feel “less black”, and almost caused her to take her own life. Turning her hardship into a positive message of self-love, Aiesha talks about how Born to Rise came to be and just how impactful it has become for youth in the community. Now a model for Simons, Aiesha’s story comes full circle as she continues to redefine what traditional beauty means.
