God has not rejected national Israel. While today there is a remnant chosen by grace as there has always been, someday there will be more. When national Israel rejected the Gospel, this caused the Gospel to go forward more fully to the Gentiles which is in turn designed to make the Jews jealous to salvation. Gentiles have nothing to be prideful about. Rather, we should be in awe that we were included into God’s covenantal people group. To be included, all men must have continued belief in Christ. National Israel will one day see reintegration into the tree of the people of God, a massive end-time salvation. God will always be faithful to His promises, and while each group had their time of unbelief, God used the other’s belief/unbelief to bring salvation to the other. Thus, God is to be greatly praised for His wisdom in saving both Jews and Gentiles. The story began with God, was orchestrated by God, and will find its completion in Him. Give Him His due glory!
