A Tribute to David Bromige

The Sebastopol Center for the Arts presents a tribute evening for Sonoma County’s second Poet Laureate, David Bromige.
Sonoma County Poet Laureate emeritus Bill Vartnaw hosts the event. To kick-off the book launch tour, he’ll be reading from, If Wants to be the Same as Is—The Essential Poetry of David Bromige.
Also reading from the book will be editors Ron Silliman, Bob Perelman and Jack Krick will be in attendance, and local guest readers Gillian Conoley, Pat Nolan, Cole Swensen and Jonah Raskin.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
The evening also features the world premiere of Incremental Windows, a documentary by filmmaker, James Garrahan who filmed a series of conversations with Bromige that cover his poetics, his family and his life. The film was made in the latter years preceding the poet’s death in 2009.
Doors open at 5:30 pm
Tickets:
$10 Entrance donation requested
No one turned away for lack of funds.
