Three Philadelphia chefs and one restaurant are James Beard Award finalists. Phila Lorn, owner of Cambodian noodle house Mawn in Bella Vista, is a finalist for Emerging Chef. In the Best Chef Mid-Atlantic category, two chefs were nominated: Amanda Shulman, of Center City’s Her Place Supper Club, and Jesse Ito, of Royal Sushi and Izakaya in Queen Village.
