Numerology is a belief system and practice that ascribes meaning and significance to numbers, particularly in relation to a person's life and destiny. It is one of the mapping divination tools. We categorized it as the “mapping tool” because it can give you guidance around your life path. Just like with Astrology, Human Design, and other mapping tools, by knowing your birth date and time, you can create a map (or a blueprint) of your current lifetime.
In numerology, each number is assigned a specific vibration or energy, and these vibrations are believed to influence a person's character, behavior, and life path. The most commonly used system in numerology is based on the numbers 1 through 9, with the addition of master numbers 11, 22, and sometimes 33. These numbers are derived from a person's birth date or the numerical value of their name.
In this episode, we explain what numerology is and cover some key aspects of numerology, such as:
Life Path Number: This is one of the most important numbers in numerology and is calculated based on a person's birthdate. It's believed to represent the core essence of an individual and their life's purpose.
Expression Number: This number is calculated from the numerical value of a person's full birth name and is thought to reveal their talents, abilities, and potential in life.
Destiny Number: Similar to the Life Path Number, the Destiny Number is also calculated from the full name and is said to reflect the opportunities and challenges a person may encounter in their life journey.
Compatibility and Personal Year: Numerology is also used to assess compatibility between individuals, such as in relationships or partnerships. Additionally, numerologists calculate personal years to offer insights into different phases and experiences a person may go through in a given year.
Numerology is often used for self-discovery, gaining insights into one's personality, and making decisions related to career, relationships, and life events. It's important to note that numerology is not considered a science and lacks empirical evidence to support its claims. It's more of a belief system and tool for introspection and personal growth for those who find meaning in it. Different numerologists may use slightly different methods and interpretations, leading to variations in readings.
