Kelly is a PhD research student at Northumbria University and founder of Period of the Period, an educational hub designed to change the narrative for women’s health and performance in sport and exercise through awareness, evidence-based education and support. We’re going to be talking about the key stages and hormones that can affect our individual motivation and performance levels in sport and exercise throughout our menstrual cycles and how to use this knowledge to our own personal advantage. We also discuss Kelly’s reasons for wanting to raise awareness and improve research around sport, exercise and women’s health.
