The Maple Leafs season is done and the Stanley Cup drought continues at 57 years and counting. As we all know, the Leafs lost their 2nd round series to the Florida Panthers in 5 games and there are a lot of questions going into the offseason. When Mike Babcock said "there will be pain", we certainly didn't think it would last this long, or cut this deep! Syl's Dad had a saying for the way the Leafs made their exit, he called it 'victory after letdown', and boy does this sum it up! He was a bit like Yoda that way.

In this episode we are going to try and make sense of it all in the playoff edition of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. While the end result was not what we all wanted, they did have some incredible moments, and achievements, and we give out our LTL "Ugliest of Them All" trophy to the Refs, for their stellar (cough, cough...) performance throughout these playoffs!

For our final Playoff Highlight Reel, we're going with a defense oriented theme, as we celebrate 3 performers on our back end that were able to rise to the occasion. These 3 gave it their all and are the shining examples of what it means to bleed blue!

Then for the Third Period, we welcome Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun to the show to discuss the Leafs 2023 playoff run and what could be next for the team. No doubt, after yet another disappointing exit, changes will be coming. Covering the Leafs so closely over the years, Lance brings a tonne of perspective and insight around what we might expect to come down over the next few weeks and into the summer.

Before we go, a small programming note. We will be reverting back to our usual twice monthly schedule, so be sure to subscribe or follow so you don't miss an episode. We'll be back June 7th, unless some big news breaks, in which case we'll have you covered with a bonus episode!

Well folks, its been another emotional, and in the end disheartening ride with our Maple Leafs! As Canadians we can't wait for summer, but as Leaf fans we would love nothing more than to delay our time on the patio for just a little longer. Whether you're feeling angry, or hopeful, or something in between, we've got you. Sending a big group hug across the airwaves. Go Leafs Go!
