Tune in this week as we begin in Exodus 17, and the Israelites are traveling through the wilderness and become very thirsty. When they reach a place called Rephidim, they find no water and complain to Moses, losing faith in God who brought them there. This story reminds us that God has a purpose for bringing us to tough situations and wants us to learn and trust Him. Eventually, God tells Moses to strike a rock, and water comes out for the people to drink.β¦
Tune in lead Pastor Troy took time this Easter Sunday to preach primarily from the book of Corinthians. He used the words written by Paul to remind us of what eternity with God truly looks like. What does the resurrection mean for each one of us? What does it entail for me to put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ and follow in His footsteps to be resurrected to heaven? The good news of the gospel promises us a resurrection of our earthly bodies to one day be with Christ Jesus in heaven. However, we must first make the choice to follow and believe in Him. If we choose otherwise, there are eternal consequences and separation from God forever in Hades ("hell"). This Sunday, we are reminded of the beauty of what heaven will be like and that it is only through Jesusβ death on the cross that we, too, are able to be resurrectedβbut only if we truly believe and call upon the name of Jesus as our Lord and Savior.β¦

He talks to us about the process of being emptied, filled, and sentβa continuous process. After leaving Egypt, the Israelites, now in the wilderness, grow hungry and begin to grumble against Moses and Aaron, wishing they were back in Egypt with food. God hears their complaints and promises to provide them with food, sending quail in the evening and manna in the morning. The story of the manna highlights God's care for his people, even in difficult circumstances, and underscores the importance of Sabbath observance.β¦
Tune in as Troy begins by sharing the story of Moses and the Israelites as they emerged from the parting of the Red Sea. Exodus 15 recounts the singing of a worship song. The Israelites sang praises to God for their deliverance, an act of worship that stemmed from their gratitude and awe. Troy emphasized that worship isn't just a Sunday routine inside the church walls; but instead is a heartfelt response to God's faithfulness, goodness, and love. Connecting ancient truths of scripture with our lives today, we dove into the essence of true worshipβwhat it means, how to engage in it, and why it was integral to the Isralites faith and still our own today. What is true worship of the one true God? It is not meant just to make us feel good or to serve ourselves in any way, but instead to surrender ourselves and our desires to lift high our Lord, Jesus Christ.β¦

Though this passage is in the Old Testament it offers many similarities to water baptism as the Israelites left their old life crossing through water and entered a new life after arriving at the other side.
