What happens when you bring three fierce Latinas who are inspired by the power of technology and their passion for building digital equity for their communities? Women Tech Makers of Modesto are championing the next generation of tech literacy, confidence and digital community to an area that is least seen as the next technology hub of technology skilled labor, the Central Valley of California. Women Tech Makers of Modesto: Daisy Mayorga-Fuentes, Karlha Arias-Davies, and Roxanne Finks, share their stories of how Latinx representation matters in the technology industry, especially where the Agricultural Industry and larger business industries are outsourcing most of the tech labor force from outside the region, when they have the most knowledgeable workforce right in their own backyard. Daisy, Karlha and Roxanne are on a mission to help close the digital divide and create change for tech equity, higher education, and legacy wealth creation in an area that sees Latinos as low wage workers. Gracias Daisy, Karlha and Roxanne for inspiring us to be technology activists of change in the communities that are the least seen.
